I would like to take a moment to stop everything and give thanks to the most wonderful man I know.... My dear, perfect husband....
For those of you that don't know, after I lost my job in November, I took a part time job. Nathan and I decided to make a goal for ourselves. We would like me to become a stay at home mom to our girls.... right now, with finances the way they are that is virtually impossible. After nearly losing my daughter twice this last summer, I decided life is too short to not spend every waking moment with my babies if I can.... Well thanks to my husband, I am pretty close.
Nathan is working two jobs, full time at LCS and nearly full time waiting tables... Why does he do this? He feels its his responsibility to provide the best he can and make my dreams come true and make our children so happy that mommy is around more!
Everyday Nathan leaves the house by 5:30 am to be at work. Gets off late afternoon and makes it home with 15 minutes to spare, changes clothes and goes to wait tables till 12:00am and comes home, sleeps for 3 or 4 hours and does it all again the next day.

He also picks up the house, cleans the kitchen after meals and has had time to start my beloved vegetable garden outback and is working on it with quick vengeance. I am floored at the ability of this man, and his strength and his will. He never complains, and he always smiles. When he gets home he finds the energy to hang out with me... and he is excelling at work in both jobs.... By day he is doing a wonderful job and by night he is the #1 waiter and choice of most regular customers because he does such a good job and his tips prove that....
Thank you honey, for being the most giving caring man I know, and allowing me the freedom to work less and spend more time with out beautiful girls... It means more to me than you will ever know. I am so blessed to have you in my life. I have a profound respect for you.... Bigger than you will ever know...

This post brought tears to my eyes!!
ReplyDeleteI hope that finances work out, between photography and bowtiquing, so you can be a stay-at-home mom once and for all and so that Nathan can work just one job.
I never, ever imagined I would want to "just" stay home with my kids. I was raised in the belief that I should pursue a career and have kids... that I could "do it all." Once I had Sophie, that was it... I never wanted to leave her with anyone but me. It is a VERY difficult thing to do financially but worth every bit of sacrifice. These are years we can never get back... and someday, we will be able to dust off our dreams and pursue those career goals again without guilt over the years our babies grew up without us!
You are such a wonderful family... I truly believe you and Nathan have some of the most giving hearts I've ever known. You are so lucky to be blessed with one another, a perfect match.
What a good Daddy! Y'all are so sweet.;)
