Happy Birthday Teresa!

Today we celebrated my Mother In law's birthday!!! In honor of her Bday, I had a party at my house- We had purple flowers, purple balloons and EVEN PURPLE CAKE!

YES I made the cake purple :) I was so excited with the way it came out!

We asked Teresa to cut the cake so she would be the first to see her purple cake! This was her reaction!

What do you do after a great dinner and party??

Why you throw things at people of course.... Play close attention to the following set of photos and you will see all of the airborne objects being tossed at everyone in the room. It was really random but turned out being fun-- doesn't take much to entertain us!

Aggie Muster 2010 - Honoring My Grandfather

I had the honor of attending Aggie Muster 2010 in College Station to honor my Grandfather, Norman D. Lowry. I have always wanted to be an Aggie. I decided to become an Aggie because of my Grandpa. He inspired me, told me stories and had all the confidence in the world that I would make a great Aggie. I don't think I ever FULLY understood true meaning of the Spirit of Aggieland until tonight, as I stood on the ground floor or Reed Arena and called "HERE" in response to my Grandfather's name. My mom, dad, sister and Meg couldn't make it this year, so I did my best to capture this for them, so they could experience what I did, the most somberly magnificent display of camaraderie and love I have ever seen.

Today, April 22, 2010 marks the one year anniversary of the death of my wonderful grandfather
He died the day after muster. Amazing how God Works.....

Grandpa, I love you with all my heart. I miss you everyday. You were my inspiration for nearly everything. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you, talk to you and know that your with me all the time. I hope I made you proud tonight when I answered "HERE" and sat in your seat.

I love you.

Zoey, The Queen of Donuts....

Today I heard Briley talking quietly and humming a song about Zoey & Donuts... I saw the cutest thing ever. Briley had taken this dog toy- a big plastic donut and put it on Zoey's head and "Crowned her the queen of Donuts". Zoey is such a good girl. She could easily just bite Briley.... but she sits there and plays along.....

Then KK joined in the fun and Zoey sat patiently, being the queen...

And eventually she started getting bored :) Poor Zoey!!

Mommy's Little Apprentice

As most of you know, I am a photographer and I go on-location to take photos.

Today I had Part III of a senior series at a high school football stadium. I had Briley with me and of course, she was a huge help. She LOVES going with me. She is always best friends with my clients by the time we are done. Today I was shooting a handsome boy named Erik- Briley was flirting with him the whole time. By the end of the shoot she had him running down the field with her.... She is such a mess. Mommy & Daddy are in big trouble when this girl gets bigger!

Leap of Faith!

So I took a huge leap of faith, in order to keep my insanity and my balance and my youth... I resigned from my infant photography position that I had been contracted at the hospital for, in order to concentrate full time on my own business and dedicate more time to my family. For years it has been a dream of mine, to accomplish this. To be my own boss and to take something that started out as a tiny seed and nourish it and watch it grow. Up until now it has been a part-time gig. Trying to do it all while things even out.....I have poured in thousands of grueling hours and given up hundreds of hours of sleep to make this work. Since last July, I have been averaging about 3.5 hours of sleep a night. Some nights are better than others, but after my work day I come home, clean the house, make dinner, bath the kids, play with the kids and then once they are in bed my "workday" for SWL photography begins -- usually about 9:00pm... I furiously edit until the wee hours of the morning and jump in bed for a few winks of sleep. It has been well worth the journey and I wouldn't change a thing. Everyday I see more & more fruits of my effort and my clientele is growing on a daily basis! I am excited about this next step and thrilled to see what God has in store for me next!

Starting April 23rd, 2010 I will be available on a full-time basis to meet the needs of my clients and work on my editing while the rest of the world is still awake and functioning. I can't wait :)

Spread the word! SNAPPED WITH LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY IS FULL TIME! :)

Thanks and God Bless! Wish me luck!
