Goodbye, Lowry-Pop

My wonderful, wonderful Grandfather Lowry Passed away this morning....We called him

Lowry-Pop since I was a little girl.

I am SO SO glad I was able to take the girls out several weeks ago to visit him and see him one last time. Briley adored him and Kayelyn got to meet her Great Grandpa Lowry-Pop. I know it made him complete to meet Kayelyn and See Briley again.

The sad part I just realized is, that I am always on the other side of the lens and I don't have any pictures of him and myself together.

Please keep my family in your prayers. My mom and Meg are with him now and my sister is on her way. We are trying to figure out a way to get to Colorado quickly.

Please lift my mom and Meg up in prayer. They need all the strength they can get right now....

RAINY DAY

This weekend we had a TORRENTIAL amount of rain... It was completely insane how much rain fell. All day Saturday it POURED. At one point I worried it was would creep up to the house but never did.....

In other news Kayelyn followed the Brewer Baby trend and got sick again. This is pretty much how she spent most of the weekend. Poor girl.....

Artsy Fartsy

SO today I had a vision of greatness. I wanted cute canvases to accent the colors in Kayelyn's room and something girly to "girlify" her room since the colors are not traditional girly colors. I went to at least 7 stores and found nothing- well nothing I could afford anyway :) SO I went to the craft store and bought some canvases..... Just so happens I had an idea in my head of some cute girly things so I came home and painted..... Now they are by no means professional butr I achieved my goal and for way less money. Tell me what YOU think. Except you Nat.... You're a professional ARTIST and I am scared you are going to laugh at me :) LOL j/k....

A room of Her own....

SO Nathan and I finally gave in and gave Kayelyn her own room.... She is a Very light sleeper and so is Briley.... It wasn't going to work out. So after a week of work, I finally have Kayelyn's room partially done.... The big stuff anyway..... I still have to make a valance and Nathan is making a huge wood monogram for over her bed. I also have a friend painting some fun things on the other walls in the next few weeks.

We wanted something TOTALLY different than Briley's room.... Her room is baby pink, HOT PINK and lime green (IT is also under renovation so pics to come soon) so we wanted something that is more fit to Olive. Her eyes inspired the ice blue walls. I actually went to Home Depot to look at paint chips and I found this color on the "OOPS" paint isle.... The color is lovingly called "Tiffany Box Blue". I love oops paint. Its usually $5 a gallon but the lady rang it up at $3.50 and I didn't protest :) I bought a quart of grape colored paint and made stripes to go with the blue and just used the white base for some of the stripes.

My inspiration is a futon that we inherited from the Beach House after the Ike Renovation.

It is not set up, but here is the cover.... The futon is going against one wall in her room for a reading corner.

I am thrilled with the way it turned out. Like I said, I still have a lot of work ahead, but it's a start!

Poor Haylee Bug

Haylee is still in the Hospital with Viral Pneumonia...

he is being such a good girl. I have gone up a few times to visit her on my breaks... Please keep her in your prayers to get well soon!!!

Easter

Easter was great this year..... Minus the fact that daddy has been seriously ill with Bronchitis, we had a pretty good day. I got up and got the girls dressed and ready for church and they looked darling in their matching dresses. I feel so bless to have such wonderful, happy healthy children....

East baskets were and adventure this year..... The girls some some goodies that they loved....

Daddy decided to personalize a few eggs while we dyed them. These are my favorites...

At church Kayelyn went to nursery for the first time. Up until now she has been a lap baby but I decided to "brave" it and let her go. She did wonderfully and didn't cry at all! Here she is with her new friend...

After church we had a FLOODING down pour.... I walked out to the car in deep water and was soaked by the time I made it home!!!

I hope everyone had a joyous Easter! We are so glad spring is finally here!!!

Haylee Bug

Our Haylee Bug is sick and in the Hospital Again.

Please take a moment to pray for her and Travis and Jennifer. They are up at the hospital with her and are exhausted from the stress and worry....I will keep you posted....

Easter Bunny!!!!!!!

I took the girls to the Easter Bunny today!! Briley LOVES the Easter Bunny. I figured Kayelyn would hate it, but I was wrong! She loved him too!!
