The June-Bug

We have had the most interesting June ever. We had our new baby girl born on June 6th. But she had a serious problem with her lungs. It is really a suprise since she was a full term baby. After being life flighted to Children's Memorial Downtown, she spent the next 5 weeks there in the Level 3 NICU recovering from a number of respiratory issues. But, we finally had our nightmare end Friday the 11th. Kayelyn was able to comehome for the first time. She is finally with her family as it should be. Thanks to all the thoughts and prayers that went out for her over the past 5 weeks. We could not have done this without friends, family and most important, faith. And a special thanks to all the Dr.s and nurses at the Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital NICU unit. They all are a special breed of people and will hold a special place in the hearts of me and my wife. I will have more to come soon, as long as I get some sleep...
