4th of July!

We have tried to make it tradition, that every 4th of July we get the 4 cousins coordinating outfits.... We TRY to dress them all cute and perfect and take pictures on the beach....

Here are some past attempts.....
This by far, is the cutest EVER. This was taken in 2008. KK was in the NICU having her own pictures done that year....

Here is 2009.... It wasn't a big hit then....

AND... it's still not a big hit. I am hoping in the next few years I will be able to catch a photo where at least ONE child is looking at me and is happy....

Briley and Haylee were good subjects, just not THAT interested :)

KK- Well. She's KK. She hated it.

And Madi.... She was ready to hit something or someone... :)

SIGH.... Maybe next year :)

Beach House!!

Every 4th of July our family has a reunion at our Beach House down on Bolivar Peninsula.... Every year its so much fun to hang out and see everyone. To me, it's more fun now than ever, getting to see our kids have fun and appreciate the water and beach.... up until now there has always been at least on child who HATED it. This year my niece Madi, wasn't 100% sold at first, but then decided she liked it. Watching your kids run and play in the water and sand is awesome!

4th of July toes!!!

Kayelyn was very busy at the beach....

and Briley and Haylee made a bathtub....

Nathan hung swings on the porch for the kids.... Briley stayed on hers 90% of the time ;)

KK liked the beach until someone stole her bucket. Then she was pretty mad....

Briley LOVES the ocean. She just stares at it and goes out and lays in the waves breaking.... its so cute.

She told me tonight. "I love water. Swimming is the best thing in my whole life."

KK wore herself out everyday, she was so busy filling holes with water and running toward the waves and then running away from them.... She got most everyone to participate in her fun.

One day we dressed them up for picture with Nan Nan....

a little slice of paradise.....

Tucked away, up in Atascocita there is the most beautiful little paradise neighborhood you have ever seen... I went there for a photo shoot and ended up staying and letting the kids swim..... it hangs over Lake Houston.... Isn't it awesome!??!
