Road Trip Day 2

Road Trip Day 2 was a super fun day.....

We started out at the continental breakfast which I LOVE!!!
The girls love it too!

So everywhere we go Nathan sees people he knows. Why was I surprised when he saw his friend Shawna at our hotel in Midland, TX with her husband???

Here is Nathan giving Briley a lesson on Texas Geography.... He was showing her on this texas waffle where we drive from and where we were now...

After breakfast we took the girls swimming in the Hotel pool.... they loved that too!

Then we came back to the room for baths and KK fell asleep! What a busy morning!

Soon we headed to Chuck E Cheese.... More fun, More food and games...

After lunch I decided to take some pictures of the girls with their great grandma....

After that we met my Aunt at the Montessori school she teaches at to let the girls play....
What a cool school! They have so much fun stuff to do and animals everywhere!

This is Tiger the Salamander...

Briley has been begging me for a hamster. Seeing these gerbils didn't help out....
Now they are both asking!

And they just love playing there!!!

Later on the girls decided to play dress up on Grandma.... this is how it turned out!

And when we got home... KK crashed again! Vacation is tough for a baby girl! :)

Road Trip 2010 : Day 1

So Day One of Road Trip 2010 went WAYYYY better than I thought! :)
The girls Loved the car ride. They didn't complain, whine or cry ONE time. They watched movies and played with toys.....We drove for 9 hours and only stopped twice. It was SO much fun and so relaxing to just go and admire the scenery outside!




Here is our hotel room ... When we got here last night the girls thought it was SO cool. I will say I agree, it's pretty cool! I slept with Briley and Nathan slept with KK. everyone slept all night and got about 8.5 hours of sleep.

So all in all, this is going WAY smoother than we expected!!! So far SO good!

Memorial Day- A lil' bit late

We had a really fun Memorial day. My friend Lara invited us to their place to swim and BBQ. It was SO SO fun. It was nice to just float in the pool and eat ribs and BBQ and ice cream. We haven't had a day like that in a longggg time. I hope there are a lot more to come!

Well. This is typical.

At first KK hated the pool. Everything about it. She was miserable. So I just do what I always do and basically force her to cope in hopes she will learn to adapt.

So I let her take a break and she sat in the tiki hut looking violated and scarred.

That is until she saw Miley in the water.... Miley LOVES to swim and float on floaties. She will nap in the pool on a floatie.

KK decided this was pretty cool and she wanted to give it another try. So in she went, into the boat with Miley. This was a hit and after that swimming was cool.

Its a Miracle.

Briley liked the boat too.... she floated around all afternoon...

But what she liked even more was swimming by herself. She had a floaty vest on, but Nathan and I have been giving her mini lessons and she is catching on...

Now you see her.....

Now you don't! She jumped in by herself!

AND then swam to the middle of the pool alone....

KK watched from the sidelines, soakin in the rays...

Briley wanted to walk on water like Jesus. Here is her rendition :)

Today, you are 2. I cannot believe how the time has passed. You are growing into such a beautiful young girl. Everyday you look less like a baby and more like a young lady. It thrills me to watch you thrive and learn and it breaks my heart knowing my baby is no longer a baby.

• You are such a sweet girl.
• YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY!
• You think your sister "Bri-B" hung the moon.
• You are starting to develop quite the temper. If you are mad- everyone within a 10 mile radius knows it. :)
• you still LOVE your Blankie and your "Binkie-Binkie"
• You love all baby dolls. You feed them and push them in the stroller and burp them.
• You can count from 1-12 and you do it ALLLL day long!
• You love to sing "Is raining, Is Po'ing dee ol man is snowing" and the ABC's.
• Every drink is a "milk" and you LOVE anything with noodles in it.
• If someone says, "Who wants to______________________? (Fill in the blank)" and it's something you want to do you yell "IDO!!! IDO!!!"
• You are super shy around new people and you clam up in public places.
• You carry a magic wand everywhere and call it your "Boppity Boo" :)
• You LOVE Sponge Bob and The Wonder Pets
• You hate the baby pool and love the BIG pool
• You are a lover of allll animals and have no fear of any dog any size. You immediately want to give it a "Ugg"
• You are a lazy bones and you LOVE your nap and you would sleep till 10:00am everyday if I let you.
• If I forget to put a hair bow in your hair you make sure I know about it. You love your accessories :)
• You adore your cousins
  
• You love to run and play and jump on the furniture when I am not looking.

Everyday with you is a gift. I still cannot believe you are in our lives and how blessed we were that God granted us the miracle of your life.

Every time we pass Memorial Hermann and see LifeFlight Briley tells you "There's your Helicopter KK!!!" Now your eyes get real big and you say, "My Copter!"

I hope you know everyday how much we love you. You are a gift from God. I know you are tad bit spoiled but I wouldn't have it any other way. Happy Birthday Angel Girl!
